We’re going to the zoo with some of our ELI Global First Year students on Saturday!  In case you can’t make it, here’s a list of other fun events going on in Miami this weekend.

Friday, May 8th, 2015

Free Fridays at The Wolfsonian; 6-9pm

Learn more about The Wolfsonian Collection and related art and design themes during a 45-minute free guided tour of the permanent collection or temporary exhibitions. The tour begins at 6pm sharp.

Crafts for Mother’s Day; 7-8:30pm

Create an embroidered card inspired by our upcoming exhibition Women, Art, and Social Change, just in time for Mother’s Day!  Thie event will be held at FIU- Wolfsonian.

Comedian Kevin Hart; American Airlines Arena; 7&10:30pm

The hilarious Kevin Hart will be in Miami for 3 shows during his What Now? tour. With sold out tour dates all over the country and 2 movies coming out this year, Kevin has been dubbed as “one of the industry’s most important and influential voices”

The Consul; Florida Grand Opera; 7pm

Watch this award winning Opera that won a NY Drama Critics’ Award for Best Musical, Pulitzer Prize for Music, Tony Award and was called “Top 10 Musical Event for 2015” by The Miami Herald. Tickets can be bought here.

Sunday, May 10th, 2015

Tea on the Terrace; 1pm

Visit the Vizcaya Museum then sip on a delicious cup of tea while sitting on the terrace overlooking the beautiful Vizcaya Gardens.

Anything Goes; Broward Center for the Performing Arts; 1 pm

The Broadway Show Anything Goes, opened at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts last night.  This musical comedy “about the lovers, liars and clowns on a transatlantic cruise is “a daffy, shipshape romp!” – Broadway World. Tickets can be purchased here.
